Interesting problem....Internal Windows 2003 AD structure running DNS AD Intregrated on 3 DNS servers. Problem started because certain email addresses (*@yahoo.com,*@hotmail.,*@sccoast.net) started kicking back saying mail delivery failed due to unknown remote host.
Turned out, an nslookup could not resolve these addresses. I am forwarding DNS queries to my firewall, but my firewall can resolve these addresses fine. Cleared out the cache on Microsoft's DNS server, and it works the first time to resolve the address, but won't work again until I clear out the cache.
Tried to uninstall and reinstall DNS on that server, but same thing. It is almost as if the cache is corrupt, but clearing it only solves the problem the first time.
Any ideas??
