IS-IT--Management
Any help greatly appreciated! Here is the situation...
Started running private domain for small company. Now attempting to host own website on premise.
Running everything on one single box presently~DNS,DHCP,NAT,IIS. Having trouble configuring the zone files. Have registered name servers with registrar, purchased domain name, and name servers are pointing at our DNS. Thought that the DNS was configured correctly but its unreachable publicly. Doublechecked for have mx entry right but obviously missing something big. It works if config'd for private address (192.xxx), then FTP and HTTP work great. So it's got to be my DNS config...
Have a 192.xxx internal network. External network 65.xxx.
Two NIC's (one private~one public) in one box running W2k3 server w/ NAT only acting as Router & Remote access (VPN). Firewall is configured on NAT.
If you could even steer me towards links with examples of working zone files that would help tremendously...
Thanks..
Nathan
