DNS woes

Don't know what else to try:

Statically assigned IP.
Can ping internal network.
ipconfig /all reveals proper DNS and routing information. (Same as other computers).

Can ping Can ping
Cannot bring & up on browser.

No firewall. (personal or company)
No filters. (personal or company)
No host file or host.sam entries.

Have tried both IE and Mozilla.

No luck. What else can I try?

Ran spybot 1.3 and hijack --> No maleware found.
 
well i'm very glad you found the solution on your own. lol
it will help you more in the end than us telling you what to do. but i got a quick tip here. whenever you do a ping and you can ping url's it usually can be either internet explorer ( or any browser) or winsocks and tcp/ip, or ssl. take care
