I have recently upgraded my NT-Exchange5.5 server to Win2000-Exchange2000. Everything was going good until I notice that when I install Active Directory, It did not install and start the DNS services like i asked.... I have since added DNS and have entered a forward lookup zone
"emailserver.domain.com" but still can not send out mail through the wan... Any help would be great...

Does the server point to yourself for dns? Did you setup forwarders to the ISP via the DNS mmc? Dan

Yes the server points to itself in DNS. The wierd thing is... when I opened the DNS MMC - Right click on "ServerName" and click on "Forwarders Tab", I could not enter any IPs? After digging around on MS support sites all night I might have fixed it. I used the workaround options in "MS Knowledge Base Article - Q289045"

Thanks for your post Xybertron...

Delete the . zone? I can't seem to pull up that article. Dan
