DNS server on a home (SOHO) netwerk.

Hi,
Try to dig my way through Microsofts book about Windows server 2003 Network infrastructure (70-291), because I want to build a Windows 2003 server based network.

The DHCP is done by my ADSL modem/router.
DNS should be done by my W2k3 srv.
The internet domain is i.e. mydomain.nn
The home intranet domain will be home.mydomain.nn, that's the zone(?) to be hosted on my server.
All machines on the SOHO network have to login to the home.mydomain.nn domain.

DNS on my server is to be used to find all resources (PC's printer's etc) on the SOHO network and the rest is to be send to my ADSL modem and the modem will forward it to my ISP's DNS server.

Everything else xx.mydomain.nn will be handled by the DNS of my ISP. except ofcourse the home.mydomain.nn that will be directed to my ADSl IP number if a request come's from the internet.

Problem. How to configure the Windows 2003 server.
Both way's from a PC on my network to a resource on my network or a request to the internet.
But also a request comming from the internet forwarded from my adsl-modem to my server and forwarded to a PC on my network.

All those nice wizards etc. are only confusing me.
Any suggestions. Could do with a nice example.

If I understand you correctly then the easist way is to set the DNS on your server to foward to you ISP DNS Servers. When you click on the DNS in 2003 server select the server name there and right click and go to properities. Then select the fprward tab and input your ISP DNS Servers. Also check this out.
