I need to turn on DNS Scavenging on my Windows 2003 domain because there are records that are out of date.

I always turn on DNS Scavenging as sonn as I install DNS but in this cause it have not being turned on.

Does anyone see any issues if I turn DNS Scavenging on now ?

Thanks

Turning Scavenging on now will not do anything unusual. It will look for records that have expired their TTLs and remove them.

Look for an event 2501 in your event log when scavenging has happened. Normally it only runs every seven days.
