DNS Problems

I apologize upfront for this I am a rookie at this. I have a domain on GoDaddy and I am pointing it to my server which has a static IP address. My server has the DNS forwarding and reverse lookup setup. However, I won't see any ping's and the forwarding is not working from Go Daddy. It's a Windows Advanced Server 2000. Can someone please offer me some suggestions as too why I can't get this going...thanks in advance

What exactly are you trying to do? Do you have a firewall in place?

I am trying to forward a domain

to my local Windows 2000 Server. It has a static IP address and a the DNS setup on it. I am missing something because I can't even ping the server, yet I know it's connecting to the internet and has it's static IP configured.

It also shows that park27 and park28 at secureserver.net are the authorative NS's for this domain...

I think you missed something in your setup. Also, I think you may need 2 NS's

you have a problem.

I assume godaddy is housing your DNS records, that is where you need to make the change. Unless they delegated the zone to your local DNS server, it won't work.
