Hi All,

I hope someone can help me.

I have a problem. Some LAN clients cannot open webpage we created and some can. They are using IE to open this webpage. They open this webpage from my SQL server. Am I doing something wrong?

-Angel =)

what's the error message? have the affected clients ping the website by NAME. do they get an "unknown host" error, or do they get a "request timed out" on the ping reply?

Try an tracert to the server also. Plus, on the machines that can't acccess do an IPCONFIG /ALL and let us know what it says. What OS's are you using? Glen A. Johnson

Hey Guys,

Thanks for your help. Glen I did a tracert to the server and it was pointing to an old ip address. Go figure. Anyways, I deleted the host record on the DNS, created a new host record with the correct ip and everything is working perfect. Thanks a million.

Glad it worked out. Gotta love the basics.
