Hi
For some unknow reason last week our maschines started loging onto the network slowly on the logon screen it says loading personal setting for about 15 minutes. Now our workstations are set you use our ISP DNS servers or our router which also can do DNS. Now to get the workstations to logon on quickly we change the DNS on the workstations to be our server which also as DNS running on it and is WINdows 2000 advanced server. However this means the hard working users can then not access the internet which as you can imagine causes headaches. Please help my head hurts.

All local clients should be point to your local DNS only!! Using your ISP will cause this problem!

Setup all clients to point to your local DNS server. Goto the local DNS console and setup forwarders to point to your ISP DNS servers this should let them be able to surf the net.

The question has been answered many times before if you read through this forum you will be able to find more answers.
