I have w2k server running DNS. My zones are missing from the dns manager console on the original Primary. I have promoted my secondary to primary for now. but I can not recreate the zones in secondary or primary on the original DNS server. I get an error zone already exist. I do have the dns files in the system32\dns directory. I tried removing them. I can not recreate the zones for anything. I would like to get back to my oringinal primary and secondary configuration. any way to restore the dns files and have them show in the console.
