Here is what I have:-

Win2K Server
DHCP
WinXpPro

For some reason the main Server has massive problems with DNS. All of today I have had to either flushdns, release or renew and restart the server. We have experienced huge problems with our BT broadband today and I am slightly swaying to the fact that this is root of the problem. When I experience this problem I cant ping anything at all. Its as if the DNS settings are becoming corrupt in some way and will only sort themselves out if I do one of the above. The other strange thing is that it is not always the same solution that sorts the problem out.

Any ideas guys or gals????

first, make sure you have a good connection. can you ping a public ip? if yes, can you ping yahoo.com? if not, use nslookup and netdiag to do troubleshooting.
