My company has added a new piece of hardware to our network that allows us to filter/monitor Internet access. The system is called Iprism. We have set the Iprism to integrate with our AD. So our users when they get on the internet "authenticate" to get onto the Internet. However, I have about 10 people that all of a sudden there internet access will die. The error is a dns error trying to find the "Iprism" box. The only way I have been able to resolve this is to do a FLUSHDNS on there workstation. I then do a REGISTERDNS and everything works fine.

However, this is happening more and more often. Its as if the pc loses connection to the DNS server. This problem also happens with some of our Linux Servers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi!
I would suggest that you run "ipconfig /displaydns" at one of your workstations when they experience this problem.
Check what is the IP address which your Iprism is resolved to.
How many Network Adapters this Iprism has? If it has two and both of them are registering in the Dynamic DNS your clients might be trying to access it by the wrong IP.
