My school district recently purchased 2 new OSX servers for special projects. One requirement is that the DNS name resolves forward and reverse both on the inside LAN and on the outside. Our DNS server is an NT4 box and DNS entries made on this server are public. These servers have inside IP addresses and outside public IP addresses. After adding the entries for the outside IP addresses of the OSX servers to the DNS box, the names fully resolve from the outside, but not the inside. (We are behind a Sonicwall using one-to-one NAT). If I add an entry for the inside IP address to the DNS box, the resolution becomes flaky on the outside. Sometimes it tries to resolve the outside address and sometimes the inside address. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
