We want to have ns1.example.com and ns2.example.com point to Server A and have ns3.example.com and ns4.example.com point to Server B. Is this possible? This is how we currently have our DNS set up for the example.com domain...

---
Domain NameServer Details for example.com
Primary ns1.example.com
Secondary ns2.example.com
Additional ns3.example.com
Additional ns4.example.com

Domain Child NameServer Details
Name Primary IP
ns1.example.com [xx.xx.xxx.178]
ns2.example.com [xx.xx.xxx.179]
ns3.example.com [xxx.xxx.xxx.234]
ns4.example.com [xxx.xxx.xxx.235]
---

This setup is not working. We tried to point a website to ns3.example.com and ns4.example.com, but it is not working. Any ideas on how to accomplish this? (We have a Plesk server)

Can you clarify your question a little?

do you want ns1 and n2 to point to server1 which is the SOA for your zone? and have ns3 and ns4 point to a slave?

That is a possibility.

What errors messages do you get from the client? and from the server? what version of DNS server are you running?
