Here is what I am trying to do. I have servers running the UPS software powerchute. I am trying to get the mail to forward through my exchange server for warnings. I have config'ed my mail server to alow relaying internally. I did read on the APCC site that I needed DNS to authenticate the request thru the mail server. I am not running DNS internally on our network yet and our ISP has stopped forwarding the mail. I had the idea of creating a local host file and resolving without DNS. This area in not my strogpoint. Do you think this will work and where do I begin. Any ideas or help setting up DNS would be very helpfull.

Thanks in advance.
