I have a customer with a BCM400 set as the host site and multiple BCM50's linked to it via IP trunks. Each remote site uses the local CallPilot for AA and the BCM400 CallPilot for individual mailboxes.
When you dial the main number and get the local CallPilot AA and dial a local users extension it rings the set amount then transfers to the BCM400 CallPilot. That works fine.
However, when the local user sets his set to DND, and you perform the same steps listed above you get this: The person you have called is not available, then it replays the AA greeting.
Fwd No Answer is set to the offsite VM DN
FWD Busy is set to the offsite VM DN
Voice message center 1 is set to correct external VM DN
Local CallPilot is set to enable redirect DN, and to enable network transfers.
Looking at BCM monitor while this is happening it appears that the call never leaves the voicemail. I have been digging through documents and have been coming up dry.
Also, when I dial the BCM400 main number and dial the same user extension (at the remote BCM50) from the AA (these sites are networked)it rings the appropriate amount of rings (6 rings) then goes to the correct voicemail (even when on DND, which is strange). It appears this is only an issue with local numbers routing through the local AA.
I am stumped and my other techs are at a loss. Next step is Nortel support but I figured I would see if anyone else has experienced this. Anyone have any ideas or experienced it themselves?
*Also, f984 doesn't work either. Still wants to send to local VM. Only workaround I have found is to have the user forward their phone to the offsite VM DN and that seems a little hokey. Any suggestions are welcome.
