Hi, wondering if someone could help me...
system = DNA 5.2sp4 and SQL 2000 (not service packed)
when entering descriptions of common abbreiviated numbers in Extension Manager - they are staying in the system for a couple of days then just randomly dissappearing... i have added 3 common abb' descriptions and monitored the DNA/SQL activity using RDM.exe and found nothing - couple of days down the line they have dissappeared and no longer appear in the SQL table site1\comabbdesc - i have added them back in and synchronised common abbrieviated numbers in MDS.exe and also DUSYI'd the MD110 to find the problem still occurs...
my next point of action is going to be to service pack the SQL 2000 on the DNA server as it has not been done. (i know DNA 5.2 SP4 and even previous versions needs SQL 2000 sp3 as a minimum. What are the implications of upgrading the SQL service pack on a live DNA? is it going to cause DNA to malfunction and / or will i need to back everything up on the DNA and re-build it?
your answers will be much appreciated...
cheers
