Hi Guys,

I have a remote office that uses 37xx for extensions. In a particular office the extension was 3780. If you call it from a remote office it works just fine. However, if you call the new phone 3783 you get a fast busy signal. Any ideas?

Doug

check your cdp tables in ld 87 or 86 cant remember it maybe programmed by individual extensions to be sent to remote office.

In LD 87 here's the CDP entry
DSC 378
FLEN 0
DSP DN
RLI 11

Well, I am not in that office, but the ntleman is talking to me from another extension and says no one is on it. It's a Norstar system in the remore office and an Option 11 here.

Is this going over a pri, t1, or voip trunks?
Is this just from one switch to another or is it going from on remote to a main then to another remote?

on the norstar is there a target line setup for the correct received digits and assigned to that phone?

It is going from a remote office over a T1 to the other office. I don't know much about Norstars except how to get into the sytem and set up VM. CAn you explain a little bit more about your last comment or should I go out there and play?

Doug

when you log into the norstar with feature**config password config(default) look at the line programming for a target line should be any line 145-275 put the received digits of 3783 in and go to terminals and sets programming- line assignment and assign that line to ring or appear&ring on that phone.

check in the norstar forum they may be able to give you better instructions on how to do this.

Bypass CDP to test. From the Option PBX, dial the ACCD of the route that links you to the norstar and see of you can dial 3783. If you can, then the problem is in the Option. If you cannot (but can dial 3780) the problem is the phone in the Norstar.
