I am trying to write an expression for a dlookup
I want to retrieve data from an unbound text box and I keep getting error message

text313 is: field X divided by field y
I read several articles but they refer to values from a table or query. Is it even possible to lookup info from an unbound text box. If not can I have the text box update a field in the table and then I can refer to that field and if so how would i do this.

I have based a form on dlookups, I am in desperate need of assisttance thank you in advance

I can't imagine why you'd base a form on DLookUp()'s. They are not an efficient method of retrieving data. In fact, they are notoriously slow. Anyway, to reference an unbound textbox on a form you need only "address" it via its full path:

Forms!FormName!ControlName
