We have a Proliant DL360 active in production on rack and we don't know what generation it is. Does anyone know how to do this without shutting it down?

Well to narrow it down, usually the G3's have a grey face and the G1 & G2's are creme in colour.

If you have a Windows OS on it, run MSINFO32.EXE and see if it says in there?

Go to the HP Warranty checker and enter the server serial number. This will tell you which server you are using.
