When I encode my videos (from my dv-cam) using the divx codec, I get far from the same results if you compare with your average dvd-rip. I was just wondering how such quality is achieved? I use the default settings.
I know how to encode my videos, I simply don't get the same results as I see in ordinary divx movies. Do you people use the default settings when encoding in premiere, and what kind of quality do you get?
that's where you have to play around until you get. Your original stream must be high quality (ie uncompressed AVI). Before I could get reasonable quality, I had to encode a 5 minute clip 20 times. Its all about testing and trying and trying and trying.
