Hi, Just got this new hardrive, set the jumpers to master cause it is, then wanting to format I booted from the A drive with a win98 startup disk. The message it gave me was <<your program caused an overflow error>> OK now what is this suppoose to mean. I went into the bios rest all to default and the same. I then disabled the halt on all errors from within the bios, same thing.

Anyone have any ideas..
Thanks

For a divide overflow error go back into the bios and check the system date and time and see if it's correct. If not change it so it is and then save changes and exit. That usually takes care of divide overflow errors.
