Distribution list / Mass e-mail

Does outlook or exchange have the ability to support mass mailings to distributions lists. And also mask out the rest of the recepients so the receiver can only see and reply to the sender. We are not trying to SPAM, we just want to send mail to our current customer base with approval.

We want to be safe and not give away our customer list.

Any ideas or suggestions.

In Exch admin, create a distribution list. (Use the File menu in Exch Admin). Set the permissions to everyone. Name it as MAILLIST.

Then create a mailout folder that contains contacts. Set this to everyone too. Use Outlook to add people to that mailout folder.

In the dist list add everyone in the mailout folder as BCC and in the TO box type undisclosed recipients.

When you send an email to MAILLIST you will hit everyone in the mailout list and will get a mail failure as the undisclosed recipients mailbox does not exist.
