Distribution List & Hiding Adresses

I need to create a distribution list that will be used by many members of staff.

This distribution list needs to have both internal and external address' as members of the list.

After creating the list and adding the external email address' they all appear in the Global Address List. How do I hide the names from the Global Address List.

Any help would be much appreicated.

Sorry - I have now worked out what I had done wrong

(If interested (!) I had not established the address through exchange and therefore the exchange properties were not available to me.)
