Hello,
Introduced a new Exchange 2000 (server SP3 Post installed), and moved all users over from the old Exchange server. Left the Old Exchange server on for a period of time to verify everything was working well.
After all SEEMED to be working well, we turned off the Exchange services on the old Exchange server prior to removing it from the domain. Then we noticed when Distribution Groups were used to send an email out, they would sit in queue and not deliver. Turned on the Exchange services on the Old Exchange server and the Distibution Group emails delivered fine.
We went through the processes as outlined by Microsoft for removing an Exchange server from the organization.
I have two thoughts:
1. The distribution list can not be moved and therefore must be recreated on the new Exchange server.
2. I must have missed a step somewhere, and if so, can someone point me in the right direction so I won't have to recreate the Distibution Group?
I would appreciate any help,
Wyz
