This is probably a very easy task. I have just never done it before. I just came on bored at the place I work. We have a newsletter that we need to distribute to about 800 people. They originally just sent out the link in an email to all of the subscribers.

What I want to do is put the actual newsletter in the email. I know this can be done. I just haven’t figured it out yet. I don’t know if you can insert the html somewhere???

Also, what would be the most efficient way to send out 800 emails??

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

To have html in an email:
File>New>Message
Edit>Select All
Format>HTML
Then copy and paste. Or just type and format fonts and insert pictures and links using the menu.
HTML can also be set as the default format under Options.
To send to 800 recipients, make a mailing list and put the list under BCC: (not TO:).
Efficient? Putting a newsletter into the email itself will
create 800 copies of the newsletter on your email server. Why not do it as a Public Folder in Outlook, or as a web page and email links?

gigahertz,

Thanks for the reply. I don’t have the format>html option in my version of outlook (at least I don’t think).
I understand using BCC.

I wasn’t clear on:
"Why not do it as a Public Folder in Outlook, or as a web page and email links?"

But here is a link to our newsletter. This is what I am trying to put in an email.

How about from the web browser clicking file>send>page by email or does that create 800 copies on the email server.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Tools>Options>Mail Format (Tab)>Send mail in this format: HTML>OK

In IE, use File>Send>LINK by email. This will generate 800 emails containing the link which is much smaller than 800 emails containing the page.
