Hi,

I wondered if anyone has tryed ditributing applications other then microsoft products (.msi) with windows 2000 server through the group policy. i want to deploy software like for example, photoshop, freehand, illustrator etc.. to clients machines.

if possable wot software would you recomend to do this.

thanks a lot..

No problem..I just used a workstation as a test. USing Winstall on th workstation (included on windows 2000 server CD, I beleive you can download it also from microsoft) you can create MSI packages that you can use later with polciies to distribute software on your network.
Winstall creates an MSI wich is the difference between before and after the app (ie. photoshop) is installed on the workstation.

If you want clients to use applications or parts of it, without installing them, I guess you have two choices, the first one, to use terminal services on your server , and use the service to run applications form the server. And the other option is to use a client/server application, and this one depends on the company who made it, not really on yourself (to have the option of client/server).
