Hi all
We've got a Linux-Server which uses ssl-encryption with certificates. For this purpose we've created a root-certificate and exported it without private key to a *.cer file, so that clients can install it, in order to validate the certificate path from this linux-server.
If i install the certificate directly, windows puts it into my personal certificates store (Current user - Trusted Root Certification - Certificates). If i open a ssl-secured page, the certificate can automatically be validated and no message is displayed.
I now want to distribute the certificate to all the client computers or users, so that they don't receive a message, that the Root CA certificate is not trusted.
I've done some lookups on Microsoft-Page which brought me to following page: I've imported the certificate successfully, but it doesn't appear at the users pc, whether not in his personal store nor in the local computer store. The client-browser still says, that the Root CA is not trusted.
Has anybody already done something similar and can tell me what i do wrong? btw, all the other policys are correctly applied to the client computers.
Thank you in advance
