I may be adding an office across the street from an existing Option 11C. We have available conduit between the buildings but I'd be going down 25 stories, across street, and back up 19 flights. Does anyone know the distance limit for extending analog & digital sets from the pbx? Last thing I want is qwerky troubles!

linits depend somewhat on conductor size (gauge) the are in the engineering and planning manual. i would recogmend an ip or fiber remote, then ir the copper does cause a problem, at least they had the chance to do it right, the 1st time. your talking less then 1200, which is 500 ft shorter then some of my longer runs..

The distance limitations are around 3000ft for digital phones. I have seen straight Copper connections up to 2400', but never the full 3000. It worked with no problems.

I worked at a marine base where some of our digital set were over 3000' and we had trouble with them, so we made them analog. analog seem to work better at a longer distance.

A typical story is about 11 feet. You've used up about 500 ft in building height, add the distance across the street and see if you have a lot of margin left.
