Displaying status bar

Hi,
I have Photo-Paint 8. A couple of months ago, my computer crashed when I was using Photo-Paint. When I started it back up again, the status bar had disappeared. There doesn't appear to be any way to show it in Tools>Options>Workspace>Customize. I have searched all over the place for info on how to get it back, but have found nothing. How do I get it to display?

try holding F8 at program launch. It will load the default workspace.
