How do I display the "Startup" options window when the "Allow full menus" option is unchecked?

I have inherited an Access 2000 application. Only the File, Window, and Help menu items are available from the database window. I assume that the the "All full menus" option is unchecked on this window to prevent users from executing the functions liste on the Tools menu.

I have tried right-clicking in the border of the database window to display the Startup options window.

Thank you.

When you start the database, hold down the shift key.

Thanks for responding.

Holding the shift key while launching the database brings up the application form in design mode, but does not provide the menu options that are missing.

Are there any other "tricks" to check out?

Once you do this you'll be able to re-customize the menus to your heart's desire.

Please provide more detail.

What do I do after I open the database using the Shift key?

Thank you,

Jackie

Since it is Access2000 and you haven't used the controls in a while, do you have the double-arrow for menu expand in your menus??? Clicking on this will bring up the expanded menu with everything in it.. Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. (Albert Einstein)

at the very bottom of the menu....just as in your Windows 2K start menu....if you don't use a control for a while, it is put into a hidden state. The downpointing double arrow at the bottom of the menu, will reexapnd the menu so you can see everything. The menu in which the down pointing double-arrow would be located was not displayed; the only menu items were File, Window, Help.

Thank you. I am unable to send it.

However, I tried the shift key method again and this time it came up.

this time I did not close the form designated to display at database startup. previous times I did and did not get the "Tools" menu option.

Thank you for your help.
