Displaying results from a search using Ultradev

I have generated a search page and an associated results display page using standard Ultradev objects.

I have added the normal navigation buttons and status to the display results page.

However, when I enter search criteria the display page shows all records, UNTIL I use navigation button to go to next set of records. THEN the search criteria seems to be used. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have racked my brains (did not take long) but I cannot see why the delay in using the search criteria. The recordset I use has the correct information, otherwise nothing would be displayed.
