I have a group in my report. It is on a numeric id. I would like to display the date instead of the id. I checked customize Group name field and pick the date fields I want to display. I would like to get rid of the time portion of the date. It always displays 1/2/01 12:00:00AM

Thanks
Paul

Create a formula field - date({date/time field} - and use it for your group rather than the date/time field itself.

Hi,

Just delete/suppress the id field inserted in the group section, and insert whatever you want in the usual way.

Geoff

Thanks for the reply. I am grouping on one field and displaying a date field. The big issue is supressing the time from the date.

Hi,

Do not use the field generated by the group feature.
Insert the original database field back into the header.
You can then format the field to display just date.

Hth,
Geoff
