Display Parent-Child Recordset and allow update

I am totally new to .net and I want to get on board asap.
I was wondering if someone can show me an example of how to display a parent/child recordset and also allow a user to update values of certain columns. I would like the child recordset to be collapsed and only expanded when click on parent link.
