Display Messages 2

I can remember previous versions of the Definity allowed you to program display messages to be sent to certain extensions... for the life of me I can't find any documentation on "working with display messages". I would like for my receptionist to be able to hit a button in times of distress and alert security and other personnel with specific messages.Can someone please provide a link if possible.

Very interesting. I have never heard of this on Definity. I do remember this feature on Mitel equipment though. I would also be interested in this if possible.

This may help you. The only way that I can think of is to build a analog number with an "X" port. Also set it up as a hotline destination. Put that number as a abridged apperance on a digital set. On the station form of the analog number type in the name spot whatever you would like it to say. The end result will be they hit the button and it automatically dials security or whoever.

Just a thought. If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.

you could do this with criss alert depending on what version your on. We talked about this in another thread and is basically built do do what your looking for.

Decided to set up "dummy" DIDs with specific messages... Set different coverage paths specific to the idiivudals in desinated coverage answer groups I set abbr dial for the atten consoles and it all works like a charm... Thnks for all the ideas...
