Hi, is there a way to display the line numbers in MS Word 2000?

I have 33 pages of code and need to refer to several lines of code throughout the script after doing a document comparison in MS Word 2000

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,
Charlie

Sorry I should mention that I need these numbers to appear on the page when I print it out.

Nevermind - I figured it out.
For others still needing to do this...

1.Switch to print layout view.

2.Do one of the following:
To add line numbers to the entire document, click Select All on the Edit menu.

3.To add line numbers to part of a document, select the text you want to number.

4.To add line numbers to existing sections, click in a section or select multiple sections.
On the File menu, click Page Setup, and then click the Layout tab.

5.If you're adding line numbers to part of a document, click Selected text in the Apply to box.

6.Click Line Numbers.

7.Select the Add line numbering check box, and then select the options you want.

Regards,
Charlie

You may want to give the "Pleadings" template a shot. Then make you're own template from that after deleting all the legal stuff from the page. You would be left with a page that has line numbers down the left side that is part and parcel of the header/footer.
