Hello

I'm using Crystal 8.5. I have a cross-tab report that is running very well, however I was wondering if there is a way to show the changes in the numbers between each running of the report?

Either to display the old number, the % increase/decrease?

Anything that will show a change. I don't know if it is even possible to hold the old value to compare to a new value.

Many thanks
Peter

You can't really hold an old value. You should instead be using some sort of date field to distinguish the differences in the data.

is it possible then to display both sets of data in the one report?

You could export to Excel and do it in Excel. Or you could follow lbass's suggestion, use two date ranges if your data allows it.

Yes, you just need to expand your record selection criteria to allow the full range of dates, and then break out the data according to your date criteria--either group it, if you are comparing distinct data, or use conditional formulas or running totals if you are comparing cumulative data.
