Diskeeper 9 conflicts 1

Since installing Diskeeper 9, "Turn off monitor" and "Turn off hard drives" do not do their thing at expiration of time set. Diskeeper was originally set on "Set it and forget it" but changed to defragment manually when problem was noted but there has been no change. Perhaps the conflict lies elsewhere. Any ideas?

Jeep7955, have you solved this issue? I am considering purchasing Diskeeper, but not if it interferes with the operation of standby mode on the PC.

just what options were set in the "set and forget" mode? because it does have the option to run in screensaver mode - you might need to override that if diskeeper set itself as the screensaver - which might interfere with the standby.

also, if set to "smart scheduling" all day, it could attempt to be running at various times which might interrupt the hard drive timeout.

I would review the program's settings a little more carefully. also just verify your power options are set as you intended in windows itself.

however, we have had many PCs with diskeeper deployed using no set options, just a default install, and there are no standby problems im aware of, so its prob. not the program itself, but maybe the way it was configured as mentioned above.

First, the version of DiskKeeper being described is old.
Second, this does not seem a DiskKeeper issue
Third, has anyone asked DiskKeeeper? My experience is they are very responsive.

PLEONASM: As for the problem with Diskeeper 9, I set "Turn off monitor" and "Turn off hard drive," to Never and set System Standby to 30 minutes, and set Diskeeper 9.05 to "Set it and forget it--Smart Schedule." It seems to work fine in this configuration.

Is there a way for the sender in Outlook Express to preserve the names of persons selected randomly to receive a blind copy (bcc)? It certainly would be handy, short of having to create a Group. Thanks.

If you compose a new message and do not see the Bcc field, click All Headers on the View menu.

Now click on the "BCC" tab and look at the Identities.

I don't use Outlook Express, but if I did I would be looking around the above area.

I have been unsuccessful in having Diskeeper 9 Professional 'wake up' a PC from standby mode to run (i.e., monitor and hard disk drives are 'sleeping' - not hibernation). Stated differently, when the PC is in standby, a "Set It and Forget It" job does not launch.

I called technical support at Executive Software, and the individual stated that Diskeeper does not have the ability to launch a scheduled job if the PC is in standby at the time. (However, the same question asked of another individual at Executive Software on the prior day stated that it would work.)

My experience and (contradictory) comments of Diskeeper technical support seem to be in conflict with the prior posts above. So, what's the "trick" for having Diskeeper force a PC to 'wake up' from standby?

Let me clear the air here: My original problem was that the monitor and hard drives were not turning off which I thought was attributable to Diskeeper. When I said later that everything was working fine I was referring to the monitor and hard drives shutting down but I didn't mean that Diskeeper was doing its thing--and I don't see how it could do anything while the PC is in Standby mode.
