Disk Quotas based on groups

Does anyone know how to implement disk quota restrictions based on groups? I can enable Quota management and apply different limits on a per user basis, but when I attempt to add a new limit in the 'Quota Entris for Local Disk' window, only users appear.

I also tried creating OU's in 'AD Users and Computers' and configuring the quota limits there by applying a policy to them (Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Disk Quotas), but it doesn't seem to want to apply itself. I even ran the secedit /refreshpolicy machine_policy and rebooted. The only thing that seems to apply itself are the quotas configured on the server itself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

This behavior is by design. MS W2K only allows quotas to be assigned to users, not groups or OU's.

I've thought about this more thoroughly, and I'm sure you're absolutely correct. Using security groups never made any sense.

Even though it seems you can set policies to OU's, The different servers and users would have to be in different OU's that would force them to be nested, but the policies wouldn't apply where they were needed...I begin to ramble.

Bottom line, I need to go 3rd party. Thanks for the cold, hard truth.
