Hi,

Q1.How do i limit the size of home directoy?

Q2.Understand that the disk quota is based on volume? Can I create disk quote on shared folder using mount points?

Thank you.

Regards,
Daryl

Disk quotas are enabled at the volume level right from "My Computer."

If you wish to only limit the size of home folders, then you will need to move all home folders to a volume that ONLY stores the user home folders. Otherwise any files created in a shared directory will aslo count against the quota.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

a volume is also partition right? So can partition a side of disk for home directories only?

Thank you.

Regards,
Daryl

Yes that would do the trick for you.

I hope you find this post helpful.
