I have TSM 5.3 server running on AIX 5.2 (planning to upgrade to 5.3). Diskpools and TSM database and recovery log are all on JFS2 filesystems. Diskpools reside on a DS4300, database and logs on a DS6800 with a local 'mirror'.
What are the best mount options for those filesystems. Performance Tuning Guide SC32-9101-03 advises 'direct I/O' but should I use 'cio' or 'dio'? Thanks.

TSM 5.3 defaults to using Direct I/O on filesystems that can support it - so you don't need to make any special changes to the filesystem mount options. It used to be an option under 5.2, but no longer.
