I have an Access 2000 application that is shared across a wide area network by several users. Occasionaly a user would receive the "Disk or Network Error" message that not only locks up the application running in their session but also prevents any other user from running the program until that user's session is forced to terminate.
Does anyone have any take on this?I have looked at the posting on this forum but have not been able to find any viable solution.

Hallo,

I used to get this in Access 2.0, probably due to transient problems on the network. I found that getting all the users to exit the database, then repairing and compacting it was to only way to sort it out.

Since I have some administrative rights on the network, I am having to terminate the program from within the frozen up users's session.I'm still baffled since there doesn't seem to have a pattern to it. jlitondo@gatecitysteel.com
