I would like to defragment a drive on a machine running NT4 Server. The drive has a capacity of 600Meg and it is showing 4 Meg of free space although the total of all files/folders is 390Meg. This leaves 206Meg missing.

Any recommendations for a utility to defragment the drive would be appreciated.

It doesn't sound like a fragmentation issue to me; try to run disk admin, to verify the actual partition size. If not full drive size assigned to the system partition, you can resize it.

Why not just get a much bigger drive, They're very cheap!

Are you sure that you can "view allfiles"...

Go to the menu View > Options >View(TAB ON TOP)

Look for show all files and don't hide system files...

I even remove the hide known extensions thing...

Maybe there is a page file in you drive!

If not do check with Disk Administrator ok.
L8ter!

you can gain more disk space by converting the partition to NTFS ( if it is FAT )

Another thing,

get another drive...they are cheap
