I have this problem almost daily now. Callers on various accounts are getting dropped, usually, after hearing my initial announcement. It is common for them to say they get dropped 3 times in a row. I have ld trunks tested and verified to be in working order and even replaced 3 csu to try and rule out a hardware problem with ld circuits. Here is an example of a very basic vector which is having issues:

01 wait-time 2 secs hearing ringback
02 announcement 7028
03
04 announcement 7113
05 queue-to skill 14 pri m
06
07 wait-time 30 secs hearing music
08 announcement 7116
09 goto step 7 if unconditionally
10 stop
11

ann x7028 is an emergency message which is normally a blank announcement. x7113 is my primary announcement and callers have been dropping after this announcement on a regular basis. What could I check on now? Is it acceptable to have a blank announcement before a primary announcement? Could music on hold be the culprit? Any idea would help much.

thanks

I personally would remove the empty steps 3 and 6 and the announcement 7028 first.

Then I would do display events to see if anything is going wrong in the vector.

Also list trace commands can give you a hint on this.

I have removed the first announcement in question temporarily. Do blank lines really make a difference? I have been working with the same call center and same pbx for over 4 years now and this has never occured before. Could a faulty port which is being used by music on hold be a possibility? Could I just change the port associated or is there more to it? I use list trace quite often and have even service observed the vdn's in question and can never replicate the problem. A display events also never turns up any clues. At this point I am leaning to a music on hold issue. Anyone else experience any issues with music on hold?

Cleaning empty steps keeps your Definity clean. You can always insert steps by pressing F6, I x. The Definity will re-number all the other steps.

If you don't trust the music source, change it in ringback and see what happens.

In your other thread you ask how to change the max. que calls in the huntgroup.

I'd take a look at that also.
