Long time listener, first time caller.
Okay, let me give you a bit of background information first. I am a new hire for a small organization (around 200 users) and I'm replacing thier Systems Administrator. If it wasn't bad enough to walk in on a system I knew nothing about, my second week the server died. Not only did they not have a backup server, but their backups were also horribly done.
---
That said, I rebuilt thier main server from scratch. It is a Windows 2000 Adv Server with SQL Server and Exchange Server. Everything is stored on a Dell PowerVault, so my question is in reguards to that.
I've got the server up and I'm ready to begin putting user accounts back in. However, I used a test account of a user and I can't get roaming profiles to work.
I get "Your roaming profile is not available. Windows will attempt to use your local profile... DETAIL: Access is denied."
My question is why? I checked my permissions and I can map to my profile directory without a problem, so I don't believe it is a permissions problem. Is there some other little thing I am missing here?
Quick response will be greatly appreciated!
