Disappearing messages

I have a user who left her mailbox open and went to a meeting,upon her return she was missing all the messages up until the time she left for her meeting. I check all of her PST,OST files, deleted messages, tried recover delete messages...can't find them.She doesn't have auto-archive configured either. When I look at her mailbox in System Manager it shows 957 messages but only about 100 show in her inbox. Any ideas?
 
check the storage policy, if it reached the limited, it will not deliver unless some space is cleaned up,
ther # of messages showing in system manager showing all the messages not just the inbox, and not sure whether it will also show message which is permenantly deleted but not yet experied.
or, just do a simple trace in the message tracking center in the system manager, good luck
 
Actually, new messages are coming in just fine...it's just all messages from 2002 up until the time she left for her meeting that is missing.

Do you happend to have Norton Anti Virus installed on the Exchange server?

No, we are running ScanMail for Exchange.
 
Does she have pop3 access to the server?
maybe her home computer d/led the msgs at her home?
(wierd.. i know - but hey - anything better?!)

We have POP turned on but she was using her Outlook client and wasn't using that protocol. It was her laptop on the company network. Are messages still there if the number of items shows 970 in system manager?
 
She may have a filter active in Outlook ?

view /current view /unread messages etc
