Disabling win 2k display card???

I bought a new video card (voodoo 5.500pci) for my gateway computer. I want to instal it but everytime I disable my current video display card it re-stores itself at start up preventing my voodoo display card to work. Help!!!!!!

Do you have an onboard display card. If so you must disable it before you can enable a second video card. Windows needs a display adapter so it enables the onboard because that is the chip that the motherboard is using. Look for a jumper or bios setting.
