Hello,

I am running win2k server with exchange2k. I disabled a user on active directory, which it also disabled the exchange mailbox aswell. I re-enabled the Active Directory account because the user came back, but when I try to reconfigure the account back on the MS-outlook client it gives me an error. The error reads as fallows:

"Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The attempt to log on to the Microsoft exchange server computer has failed."

What should I do to get this user running again? Is there soemthing I'm missing that I forgot to enable on the exchange server.

Most Appreciative,

Please help I'm a newbie at his!

reconnect the mailbox to AD and confirm that the user hasn't expired.

I'm sorry...but that just struck me as rather funny...the thought that I had was "no, the user just came back to work, of course he's not dead!".

I'm Certifiable, not certified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

How do you reconnect the mailbox to Active Directory? Do I right click the user name under the active Directory tree or do I go to the exchange manager to do that?

Please help I'm a newbie at his!

ESM. Only applicable if it has been disconnected by account deletion in fact.
