I am trying to clear viruses from an associates PC. I would like to disable system restore to eliminate reinfection, however, I cannot start his system from his HDD. I have set his HDD as the slave in my PC and am performing AV scan. before I reinstall his HDD in his PC i was wondering if there was a way to perform disable system restore on his HDD with it setup as the slave?

His OS is XP Home. I am running W2K.

This may be a shot in the dark but hey...who knows?

thanks

David

Set your system to see hidden and system files then delete the System Volume Information folder.
