I have detemined my slow logon to be roaming profiles, but I cannot find where to tell it to store profiles on the local computer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

goto the user account properties and where there is an option to enter a path to the users profile remove it and it will be forced to use a local rather than a roaming one.

Other options are enforce quotas so the profiles will stay small
or
change the profiles to be .man (mandatory) so that users get the same desktop when they log on but they cannot make changes to them. Mac [pipe]
MCP, MCSE (NT4), MCSE (W2K), CTT, MCT

Glad to be of service.

I did that, but it is not creating a user on the local machine. It is just like it is deleting the users after each logoff. Any ideas?

check any GP that is associated either with the users PC or users account/group. There can be a profile redirection setted up. Correct it.
